Back in September 2017, China and Cambodia signed a memorandum of understanding on intellectual property cooperation, confirming Cambodia will become the first country to recognize China’s granted patents. After half year’s discussion, agreement has been reached on the detailed procedures. Recently SIPO disclosed that application process will soon start, and any valid Chinese invention patent that were filed after January 22, 2003 are entitled to effect in Cambodia. (Source: Xinhuanet)
